YOKKAO Next Generation Goes to Bologna Italy!
YOKKAO is going all-out with a full ensemble of events in Italy. YOKKAO 35 - 36 has already been confirmed and YOKKAO Next Generation Kids is set to take place a day after in the same arena. To facilitate next year’s full-on entry into Italy, YOKKAO Next Generation will be launched in the beautiful country this year! The Italian debut for YOKKAO Next Generation will be held at Zola Predosa Sports Hall (Palazzetto dello Sport di Zola Predosa) on the 1st December 2018. As Zola Predosa is a commune in the world-famous province of Bologna, the inaugural Italian event will be titled YOKKAO Next Generation Bologna. Headlining the show is a cracking match-up between French-Algerian fighter, Karim Bennoui and Italian representative, Cristian Faustino.
Karim is no stranger to the fans as he has fought on a number of YOKKAO events in the past against some of the promotion’s best. His 28 year-old opponent, Cristian competes out of Pro Fighting Sempre Avanti Bologna with almost 60 fights to his name. After appearances on notable events like Glory, Thai Fight and Superkombat, Cristian will now make his YOKKAO debut in front of a home crowd. With both fighters looking to make an impression on European turf, this is a guaranteed sizzler not to be missed.
Originally launched in 2016 to discover and groom young talents in Muay Thai, YOKKAO Next Generation in Italy will be operated under the same concept as its counterparts in UK and rest of the world. Outstanding performers on the Next Generation shows are selected and invited to fight in the YOKKAO official events that are promoted regularly all around the world. In this instance, top talents at the Bologna promotion will potentially fight on YOKKAO 35 - 36 in Turin in front of 5000 attendees.
YOKKAO Next Generation Bologna will be promoted by Mario Zanotti with Carlo Barbuto playing a crucial role. Barbuto is the Italian promoter for YOKKAO 35-36, so he will have a pivotal involvement at YOKKAO Next Generation Bologna to identify the best candidates who will fight on the official show. The time has arrived to take Italy Muay Thai to the next level.
